Guidance for Creating a Data Management Plan in Horizon 2020 Projects

The handout provides a guidance for creating a Data Management Plan in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020. It gives a short outline of the conditions for DMPs in Horizon 2020 projects and a brief instruction how to use TUB-DMP, the Web tool of the Technische Universität Berlin for creating DMPs. Furthermore it contains the Horizon 2020 template of TUB-DMP with a checklist for the content of a Horizon 2020 DMP and text suggestions concerning the data management strategy of DepositOnce, the repository for research data and publications of the Technische Universität Berlin. Information about the repository which will be used and its data management strategy is already required in the proposal of a Horizon 2020 project. Users of DepositOnce can use the text suggestions in the handout when writing their Horizon 2020 proposals. The research data infrastructure and the research data management at the Technische Universität Berlin are aligned with the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable). DepositOnce and TUB-DMP have been developed as value-added services for the scientists by providing a repository for the long-term availability, verification, citability and re-usability of their research results as well as a tool which facilitates the task of creating a DMP.
Die Handreichung enthält eine Anleitung zur Erstellung eines Datenmanagementplans im EU Rahmenprogramm für Forschung und Innovation Horizon 2020. Sie umfasst einen kurzen Überblick zu den Konditionen für DMPs in Horizon 2020-Projekten und eine kurze Anleitung zur Nutzung von TUB-DMP, dem Web-Tool der Technischen Universität Berlin zur Erstellung von DMPs. Darüber hinaus enthält sie das Horizon 2020-Template aus TUB-DMP mit einer Checkliste zum Inhalt eines Horizon 2020-DMPs und Textvorschlägen zur Datenmanagementstrategie von DepositOnce, dem Repositorium für Forschungsdaten und Publikationen der Technischen Universität Berlin. Bereits bei der Projekt-Antragstellung fordert Horizon 2020 Informationen zum Repositorium und seiner Datenmanagementstrategie. Nutzer von DepositOnce können die Textvorschläge aus der Handreichung für ihren Horizon 2020-Antrag nutzen. Die Forschungsdaten-Infrastruktur und das Forschungsdatenmanagement an der Technischen Universität sind nach den FAIR-Data-Prinzipien (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) ausgerichtet. DepositOnce und TUB-DMP wurden als Mehrwertdienste für die Wissenschaftler*innen entwickelt – ein Repositorium zur Langzeitverfügbarkeit, Nachvollziehbarkeit, Zitierbarkeit und Nachnutzbarkeit ihrer Forschungsergebnisse und ein Web-Tool zur einfachen Erstellung von DMPs.
