Entwicklung eines Bewertungssystems für strukturelle und räumliche Planungen von Interdisziplinären Notaufnahmen in Krankenhäusern

The aim of the dissertation is to prepare a method for developing a planning aid and assessment system for architects and design planners. As an example, the process shall be carried out for the structural and spatial planning of central interdisciplinary emergency units in hospitals, since the influence on all processes and structures of the hospitals is greatest at the interface between the urban environment and the associated clinic.
The determination of the rooms for improvement on the basis of currently six main topics of central interdisciplinary emergency units includes the valid and necessary requirements of all involved groups of stakeholders. Such requirements are transformed into criteria step by step and lead to a topic-related structure.
The systematic collection of work data is based on the analysis of the content of relevant specialist literature including print and online media as well as on the examination of exemplary projects. Supplemented by checking and applying the planning and design guidelines of „Healing Architecture“, „Green Building Guidelines“, and „Evidence Based Design“, I formulate approaches and planning recommendations for compensating the requirements of the main topics.
Due to their relevance to the present and their foundation in reality, they are checked, discussed and completed with the help of expert interviews with regard to their correctness, relevance, benefit, and feasibility.
Building on it, a deduction and structuring of the indicators of the assessment system follow. In the use case, the assessment catalogue shall be applicable independent of the progress and of the scope of the individual project. Which is why, it is subject to a topic and area related structure that results from the main topics’ evaluation steps and ensures a flexible application.
In order to represent the practical options of applying the assessment system, I shall finally prepare the assessment for three current planning projects of central interdisciplinary emergency units.
In addition to the application of the method for developing a planning aid and assessment system for interdisciplinary emergency units, the results offer approaches for transferring the procedure to other functional units and functional sections of hospitals.
Das Ziel der Dissertation ist die Erarbeitung einer Systematik zur Entwicklung eines Planungshilfe- und Bewertungssystems für Architekten und Fachplaner. Exemplarisch wird das Verfahren für strukturelle und räumliche Planungen von zentralen Interdisziplinären Notaufnahmen in Krankenhäusern durchgeführt, da der Einfluss auf sämtliche Prozesse und Strukturen der Krankenhäuser an der Schnittstelle zwischen städtischem Umfeld und assoziierter Klinik am größten ist.
Die Ermittlung der Optimierungspotentiale anhand aktueller sechs Themenschwerpunkte von zentralen Interdisziplinären Notaufnahmen erfasst die gültigen und notwendigen Anforderungen aller involvierten Stakeholdergruppen. Diese Anforderungen werden schrittweise in Kriterien überführt und münden in einer themenspezifischen Gliederung.
Die systematische Datenerhebung der Arbeit basiert auf der Inhaltsanalyse relevanter Fachliteratur aus Druck- und Online - Medien sowie der Untersuchung beispielgebender Projekte. Ergänzt um die Prüfung und Anwendung der Planungs- und Gestaltungsrichtlinien „Healing Architecture“, „Green Building Guidelines“ und „Evidence Based Design“ werden Lösungsansätze und Planungsempfehlungen zur Kompensation der Anforderungen aus den Themenschwerpunkten formuliert.
Diese werden, aufgrund ihrer Aktualität und ihrem Praxisbezug, in der Folge mit Hilfe von Experteninterviews hinsichtlich inhaltlicher Richtigkeit, Relevanz, Nutzen und Umsetzbarkeit überprüft, diskutiert und komplettiert.
Darauf aufbauend erfolgt die Ableitung und Strukturierung der Indikatoren des Bewertungssystems. Der Bewertungskatalog soll im Anwendungsfall vom projektindividuellen Fortschritt und Umfang unabhängig verwendbar sein. Er unterliegt daher einer themen- und bereichsbezogenen Gliederung, welche sich aus den Auswerteschritten der Themenschwerpunkte ergibt und eine flexible Anwendung sichert.
Um die praktischen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten des Bewertungssystems darzustellen, wird abschließend für drei aktuelle Planungsprojekte von zentralen Interdisziplinären Notaufnahmen die Bewertungserstellung durchgeführt.
Ergänzend zu der Anwendung der Systematik zur Entwicklung eines Planungshilfe- und Bewertungssystems für Interdisziplinäre Notaufnahmen bieten die Ergebnisse Ansatzpunkte für eine Übertragung der Vorgehensweise auf weitere Funktionsbereiche und Funktionsstellen von Krankenhäusern.
