Abstract: A crab spider’s ballooning process is recorded in the field condition on an artificial dome. The video is converted to negative video to visualize ballooning lines. The video contains initial phase of spinning ballooning lines, fluttering of a bundle of ballooning lines by turbulent wind flows, take-off moment and the scene of airborne state of a ballooning spider.
