Abstract: Clothing consumption has shifted beyond meeting a basic human need. Overconsumption of clothing is among the main issues of the fashion industry. Alternative or collaborative fashion consumption, as an innovative concept could help to reduce material overconsumption in the current fashion industry. This cumulative dissertation is dedicated to shedding some light on this topic of research. In this regard, the concept of collaborative and alternative fashion is theoretically and practically studied from the viewpoint of consumers and consumption.
Der Konsum von Kleidung hat sich über das Grundbedürfnis hinaus verschoben. Überkonsum von Kleidung gehört heutzutage zu den Nachhaltigkeitsproblemen der Modeindustrie. Alternativer oder kollaborativer Modekonsum könnte als innovatives Konzept dazu beitragen, den Materialverbrauch in der aktuellen Modebranche zu reduzieren. Im Rahmen dieser kumulativen Dissertation wird das Konzept der kollaborativen und alternativen Mode aus Sicht der Konsumenten und des Konsums theoretisch und praktisch untersucht.
