Das Markierungslicht im Pkw hat die Aufgabe, Hindernisse wie Wildtiere und Personen auf und neben der Fahrbahn für den Fahrer frühzeitig sichtbar zu machen.
Studien zum Blickverhalten von Linksabbiegern zeigen, dass der Blickfokus in Richtung (der blendenden Scheinwerfer) des Gegenverkehrs gerichtet wird, was die Detektionsleistung von Hindernissen im peripheren Gesichtsfeld nachweislich senkt.
Der dynamisch kontrastoptimierende Charakter des Markierungslichts verspricht unauffällige Objekte auffällig zu machen und somit die Aufmerksamkeit auf gefährdete Hindernisse zu lenken, sodass eine bewusste Wahrnehmung gewährleistet ist.
Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Bewertung der Wirksamkeit des Markierungslichts in der Straßenbeleuchtung mit besonderem Augenmerk auf das periphere Sehobjekt.

The dynamic contrast optimisation of marking light promises to make less visible objects more visible and therefore to draw the attention on the obstacles at risk so that conscious perception becomes possible.
The goal of this dissertation is to evaluate the efficacy of the marking light in the street illumination with the special focus on peripheral visual objects.
