In many everyday situations, we experience the influence of the human voice directivity. We perceive loudness and timbre differently when a speaker faces us or turns away from us. Often, we use voice directivity intuitively, for example when facing a person in a meeting or a casual conversation. Such effects of human voice directivity have long been a topic of research. Early studies were carried out more than 200 years ago analyzing the directional radiation of speech in general.en
