Affektdramaturgien im Fußballsport
die Entzauberung kollektiver Emotionen aus wissenssoziologischer Perspektive

Mob, Eskalation, Gewalt – Wenn über »kollektive Emotionen« im Fußball gesprochen wird, sind solche Beschreibungen allgegenwärtig, auch in der wissenschaftlichen Forschung. Der Fußball ist ein »dramatisches« Feld, wo Emotionen und Kollektive noch in ihrer »Reinform« zu beobachten seien. Zumindest ist dies der Mythos. Doch aus wissenssoziologischer Perspektive stellte die Frage, was eigentlich genau im Stadion beobachtet wird: »kollektive Emotionen« oder doch Performanzen, welche unter bestimmten Bedingungen als »kollektive Emotionen« sicht-, erklär- und interpretierbar werden? Das hier entwickelte method(olog)ische Forschungskonzept stellt dabei den Gegenstand auf den Kopf: »Kollektive Emotionen« sind keine biologischen Produktionen menschlicher Körper, sondern simultan und sequenziell erklärbare Prozesse von Affektdramaturgien, welche mit Blick auf die spezifischen Wissenskonstellationen im Bereich des professionalisierten Fußballs sinnhaft werden. Die vorliegende Arbeit fokussierte dabei gemäß einer videographisch und diskursethnographisch durchgeführten Einzelfallanalyse auf den deutschen Profiverein Hertha, Berliner Sportclub (Hertha BSC) und beleuchtete anhand des generierten Datenkorpus die konstellativen Knotenpunkte, um die Affektdramaturgien um diesen Verein und dessen Kollektiv verstehen zu können. Anhand der empirischen Betrachtung unterschiedlicher historischer wie aktueller Ereignisse schafft diese Arbeit mit dem entwickelten Konzept eine Grundlage, um »kollektive Emotionen« im Fußball als Ergebnis sozialer Prozesse zu verstehen. Sie sind abhängig von den jeweiligen Vereinen, den dort vorzufindenden Kollektiven und den vielfältigen Geschichten, welche der Fußball fortwährend schreibt.
Mob, escalation, violence - by talking about "collective emotions" in football, such descriptions are omnipresent, also in academic research. Football seems to be a "dramatic" field where emotions and collectives can still be observed in their purity. At least this is the myth. But from the perspective of the sociology of knowledge, the question arises as to what do we exactly observe in a football stadium: "collective emotions" or performances which, under certain conditions, become visible, explainable and interpretable as "collective emotions"? In this work, I developed a methodological research to turn the object on its head: "collective emotions" are not biological productions of human bodies, but simultaneously and sequentially explainable processes of dramaturgies of affect, which become meaningful with a view to the specific constellations of knowledge in the field of professionalized football. The present study focused on the German professional club Hertha, Berliner Sportclub (Hertha BSC), according to a videographic and discourse ethnographic analysis, and used the generated data corpus to illuminate the constellative nodes in order to understand the dramaturgies of affect around this club and its collective. Based on the empirical observation of different historical as well as current events, this work creates a foundation with the developed concept to understand "collective emotions" in football as the result of social processes. They are dependent on the respective clubs, the collectives to be found there and the stories football continually writes.
