Repairing and caring for consumer goods can significantly prolong the useful life of products. So far, there is a lack of research that investigates the take up and appropriation of repair practices and their integration into people’s everyday life. The paper draws on social practice theories to investigate everyday repair, examining the material, spatial, and temporal dimensions of repair. Empirical data derived from a citizen science project reveals the procedural and dynamic character of repair practices as processes that unfold in space and time.en
