Plug-In ist ein nutzungsneutrales Raummodul, das die prekäre Wohnsituation von Geflüchteten in Notunterkünften räumlich erweitert und Angebote macht, die über die reine Unterbringung hinausgehen. Im Plug-In können sich Geflüchtete in einem kollaborativen Prozess und unter professioneller Begleitung aktiv engagieren. Der Pavillon soll in unmittelbarer Nähe zu bestehenden Flüchtlingsunterkünften geplant werden und ist anpassungsfähig in seiner Größe. Bei Bedarf kann er seinen Standort wechseln und an andere Wirkungsstätten verlegt werden. Das „Home not Shelter!-Plug-in“ kann Frei-, Veranstaltungs- und Begegnungsraum sein, in dem sich die neuen und alten Nachbarn begegnen, austauschen und kennenlernen. Es kann entweder direkt an Unterkünfte angedockt oder aber in deren Umgebung aufgebaut werden. Das Plug-In hat das Potential, sich selbst zu reproduzieren, zu erweitern, zu multiplizieren und sich an diverse Orte und Nutzungen anzupassen. Die hohe ästhetische und architektonische Qualität dient als Signal, dass ‚Flüchtlingsarchitektur‘ nicht der prekären der Lebenssituation der Betroffenen entsprechen muss.The Home not Shelter!
