Unfortunately, in most publications on that topic the evaluation algorithms are not fully disclosed. This makes it almost impossible to reproduce and verify prior findings. Even achieving an acceptable accordance is labour-intensive. Therefore, this data submission offers some statistical and fractal algorithms readily implemented as Matlab scripts for further use. This enables interested parties to fully retrace the findings of the study. Additionally, all six surface scans used in the study are also available here, accompanied by the ready-for-use over 40,000 profile traces from them.en550 Geowissenschaften629 Andere Fachrichtungen der Ingenieurwissenschaftencompass walkingFFTspectral analysisRMS correlationbox countingZ2statistical roughness parameterfractal roughness parametershear strengthJRCjoint roughness coefficientBarton-criterionRock Surface Roughness Determination: Matlab scripts of evaluation algorithms and original scanned surfacesGeneric Research Data
